“Lista” is the Filipino word for “list down.” This word is commonly used when people are asked to list down their names and details in a record book when visiting a place. Guards would normally ask visitors. “Sir/Ma’am, paki-lista nalang po ng pangalan niyo” and point to a record book where they keep track of visitors and their details.
Writing down and signing on a record book is the manual way of managing visitors and vehicles that come into the business premises. CHIBisita aims to streamline and automate this process. Calling the system “Lista” lets us fondly remember the archaic system that used to be in the place of Visitor Management Systems while allowing us to redefine the phrase, “Paki-Lista nalang po.”
